Our Booking PolicyBy paying, the client agrees to cancel atleast 48 hours before the excursion date. Cancelations after the 48-hour window are not eligible for a refund. Client also agrees to meet at foraging location within 50 miles one way of Portland, Oregon.

2-Hour Expedition

Join our group, up to 10 people, and learn how to forage safely. Your teacher will show you how to correctly identify plants/mushrooms and how to harvest them. Participants will meet at the agreed location at 9am. We will then discuss the location, its history, and forest type. Your teacher will then discuss what is in season and what you may find. You will then hike the location, keeping an eye out for edible specimens. You will learn identifying characteristics, potential lookalikes, and how to harvest them.

6-Hour Expedition and Cooking Instruction

6 hrs$180

Join our small group of <5 people for an 8-hour adventure to learn how to forage safely. Your teacher will show you how to correctly identify plants and mushrooms, how to harvest them, and how to make a meal out of your findings.

Participants will meet at the agreed location at 9am. We will then discuss the location, its history, and forest type. Your teacher will then discuss what is in season and what you may find. You will then hike the location, keeping an eye out for edible specimens. You will learn identifying characteristics, potential lookalikes, and how to harvest them. At 12pm, we will take a break to eat lunch before hiking back to base. Around 1pm, we will discuss our finds and reiterated information before setting up our kitchen to prepare and cook our finds. The tour ends with a communal meal built around our foraged finds.
